The ‘Why?’
“We have come together as a close-knit community of Black girls in Surrey, driven by the knowledge that many immigrant girls in our city often miss out on valuable scholarship and opportunity information. Being immigrants ourselves, we felt compelled to address this issue collectively and find a solution.
Our shared vision was to create a safe and nurturing space where immigrant girls like us could connect, share experiences, and build a stronger community. We believe that through interaction and mutual support, we can help one another thrive.
Our primary goal is to empower immigrant girls in Surrey by introducing them to a world of scholarships and opportunities that may have otherwise remained hidden. We are committed to the success of our community and the growth of its members.Building this community is a journey, and we are committed to making a lasting, positive impact on the lives of immigrant girls in Surrey. By fostering support, providing information, and creating a sense of belonging, we aim to help these young women reach their full potential and seize the opportunities they deserve.”
